Justice Begins When We Refuse to Be Silent.
We are dedicated to confronting institutional abuse, supporting victims, and igniting change in communities nationwide. Our mission is to protect individuals from exploitation, help restore dignity to those who have been silenced, and hold abusers accountable.

Jaleceya Tate
Jaleceya Tate is the visionary founder of Brave Sunshine, a nonprofit organization born from her personal journey as a survivor of organized church crime and systemic retaliation. Having experienced firsthand the pain of betrayal by trusted institutions, Jaleceya faced years of isolation, threats, and attempts to silence her voice. But instead of giving up, she transformed her pain into purpose. Fueled by a deep-seated belief that no survivor should endure their journey alone, Jaleceya created Brave Sunshine to empower others to reclaim their voices, seek justice, and shine a light on the systemic failures that perpetuate abuse. Her mission is rooted in courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to dismantling the systems that protect abusers while creating spaces where survivors can heal, grow, and thrive. Jaleceya’s work is not just about fighting injustice—it’s about inspiring hope and building a future where every survivor is seen, heard, and supported
